Since June 26, 1973, Heartland has provided comprehensive services to adults with developmental disabilities.

It is Heartland Opportunity Center's mission to provide employment, job placement, vocational and life skills training to adults with mental, physical and/or emotional disabilities in order to help them reach their personal and vocational goals.

Heartland is governed by a board of directors of as many as twenty-one individuals, including those with disabilities, their family members, business professionals and other members of the community.

Heartland Opportunity Center uses a variety of funding sources, including federal, state and local government sources, production, recycling, grants, donations and fundraising.

We are a member of the Valley Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (Val-ARF) and the California Rehabilitation Association (CRA). We are licensed by the California Department of Social Services and are accredited by CARF, a national accrediting body for rehabilitation.
