ADULT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The Mobile Adult Development Program (ADP) serves individuals in integrated community and employment settings. This program is entirely community-based. Client groupings are small, with a 1:3 staff:client ratio, and are mixed to include individuals with various levels of ability.
This program provides social, recreational, educational, and vocational services designed to develop greater independent functioning in the community and to enhance the individual's ability to participate in work. Interaction with non-disabled adults is encouraged and emphasized through program activities.
Clients are given opportunities to gain knowledge of, and access to, a variety of community services. Individual choice and the maintenance of personal freedom and dignity are emphasized, with the focus on the development of the whole person.
This program is available to clients living in Madera, Chowchilla, and surrounding areas.
