WORK ACTIVITY PROGRAM
The Work Activity Program (WAP) provides training and paid work to individuals preparing to enter supported or competitive employment in the community.
A variety of work settings such as: sub-contracted packaging, assembly, and labeling services, and recycling offer an environment for learning appropriate vocational skills and habits leading to community employment placements.
Training focuses on the development of personal, communication and social skills necessary to maintain community employment. The reduction or elimination of inappropriate behaviors is also addressed.
